Authorities quickly moved to label the incident a “fall,” stating there was no evidence of foul play — for now. The official cause of death is still pending, awaiting toxicology and a full autopsy from the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Yet for Brianna’s family, nothing adds up. Her mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, remembers a daughter full of plans — thrilled about graduating, eager to take her LSAT and attend law school, a bright student at The Bush School of Government & Public Service with a 4.0 GPA. She was one year away from earning her Aggie Ring. 

“She loved life,” her mother said. “She was not suicidal. She would never jump 17 stories.”
